Lisa is qualified and a registered facilitator running the Circle of Security® Parenting™ courses.
Circle of Security® Parenting™ is an international early intervention program for parents and children, based on the parenting strategies of Kent Hoffman, Glen Cooper, and Bert Powell.
Today’s parents often feel pressured to be perfect. And at times all parents can feel a bit lost about what their child might really need from them. However, in striving to do everything right, parents can often miss what their children really need, which is lifelong emotional security.
The Circle of Security® Parenting™ course assists you to make sense of what a child is really asking, and needs, from their parents to be secure.
The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.
This course can help parents and care-givers to:
- Understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs;
- Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions;
- Enhance the development of their child’s self esteem; and,
- Honour the innate desire for their child to be secure.
The course is conducted over either four weeks or eight weeks, with a maximum of eight participants. Lisa teaches parents how to protect and nurture babies, through to children, while fostering their independence.
Lisa helps them to identify what emotional needs their child may be expressing through difficult behaviour.
Lisa uses vivid stories, anecdotes and unique practical tools to offer insight into how our own upbringing affects our parenting style (and what to do about it) placing the keys to healthy attachment within everyone’s reach—teaching self-understanding, flexibility, and the willingness to make and learn from mistakes.
